Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Momist is a finished generic formulation of a metered-dose nasal spray developed and manufactured by Kaizen Pharmaceuticals. It contains mometasone furoate, a synthetic corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties. Mometasone furoate acts as an agonist at the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to the downregulation of inflammatory cytokines and mediators. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of nasal symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as the treatment of nasal polyps. As a generic product from Kaizen Pharmaceuticals, it is marketed in India as a cost-effective alternative to branded nasal corticosteroids.
