mono-magnesium L-aspartate hydrochloride

Metabol-MG (mono-magnesium L-aspartate hydrochloride trihydrate) is a small molecule magnesium salt supplement developed by Tecnimede. It is designed to deliver bioavailable magnesium ions to replenish intracellular and serum magnesium levels. Magnesium is a critical cofactor for over 300 metabolic processes, including insulin signaling and glucose metabolism. The drug is being investigated as an adjunctive therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who have concurrent hypomagnesemia and are inadequately controlled on oral antidiabetic drugs. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development in Portugal, where its efficacy is being evaluated based on changes in HbA1c levels over a 120-day period.
