Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BB100 (formerly ASN-4) is a humanized monoclonal antibody (IgG1) that specifically targets the O25b O-antigen of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of multidrug-resistant *Escherichia coli* sequence type 131 (ST131-O25b:H4) clonal lineage. Originally discovered by Arsanis under the ASN200 program and subsequently licensed to Bravos Biosciences (via its subsidiary BB100, LLC), BB100 exhibits multiple modes of action, including direct complement-mediated bactericidal activity, opsonophagocytic killing, and endotoxin neutralization by preventing LPS-induced activation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). It is being developed for the prevention and treatment of serious extraintestinal pathogenic *E. coli* (ExPEC) infections, particularly in high-risk or colonized patients.
