Monoclonal antibody F19 is a murine (mouse-derived) monoclonal antibody that targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP), a cell-surface glycoprotein highly expressed on reactive stromal fibroblasts in the tumor microenvironment of most epithelial cancers and some soft tissue sarcomas. It binds specifically to FAP-positive cells but shows minimal binding to normal tissues. The radiolabeled form (e.g., 131I-mAbF19) has been investigated for tumor imaging and as a potential therapeutic agent by delivering ionizing radiation directly to the tumor stroma.
