Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Montanide ISA 720 is an adjuvant used in vaccines, particularly in water-in-oil emulsions. It is made from natural metabolizable non-mineral oil and a highly refined emulsifier from the mannide mono-oleate family. It enhances immune responses by forming a depot at the injection site, leading to high antibody titers. It has been used in trials for malaria, HIV, and cancer vaccines.
