Overview
**Montelekor** is an oral fixed-dose antiallergic suspension developed and marketed by Shayana Farm. Each 5 mL contains montelukast 4 mg and levocetirizine 2.5 mg. Montelukast antagonizes cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1, reducing leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction and airway inflammation, while levocetirizine is a selective peripheral histamine H1-receptor antagonist that suppresses histamine-mediated allergic symptoms. The product is indicated for prevention and long-term treatment of bronchial asthma and for seasonal or chronic allergic rhinitis.
