Overview

MOR101 (also known as MOR-101) is a monoclonal antibody developed by MorphoSys AG that targets Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 (ICAM-1), also known as CD54. ICAM-1 is a cell surface glycoprotein typically expressed on endothelial cells and cells of the immune system, playing a critical role in leukocyte adhesion and migration by binding to integrins such as LFA-1. As an ICAM-1 inhibitor, MOR101 was designed to block these interactions, thereby modulating inflammatory responses and cellular trafficking. Developed using MorphoSys's antibody technology, the drug was investigated for potential therapeutic applications in various conditions, including inflammatory diseases. However, its global research and development status is currently discontinued, and it is no longer active in the company's pipeline.
