Overview

MORAb-066 is a humanized immunoglobulin G (IgG) monoclonal antibody that targets tissue factor (TF), also known as thromboplastin. Tissue factor is a membrane-bound protein involved in blood coagulation and is overexpressed in various malignancies, where it may promote tumor angiogenesis and growth. By binding to tissue factor, MORAb-066 exhibits potential antiangiogenic, anticoagulant, and anti-inflammatory activities. The drug was developed for the treatment of several cancers including breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC; adenocarcinoma). It was originally developed by Janssen Biotech and later by Morphotek (a subsidiary of Eisai). Clinical development reached Phase 1 trials but has since been discontinued for all indications[1][3][4][6][8][10].
