Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Moringa oleifera flower methanol extract is a natural product derived from the flowers of the drumstick tree (*Moringa oleifera*). It is being investigated for its potential therapeutic properties, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. In preclinical studies, the extract has demonstrated antibacterial effects against pathogens such as *Escherichia coli*, *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, and *Staphylococcus aureus*, as well as antifungal activity. Furthermore, it has shown cytotoxic potential against breast cancer (MCF-7) and ovarian cancer (ES-2) cell lines. The extract is typically prepared using ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) with methanol as the solvent.
