Overview

**MorphARO** is an investigational oral fixed-dose combination of morphine sulfate and disulfiram being developed by SafeRx Pharmaceuticals as an alcohol-resistant opioid product. Morphine is intended to provide analgesia through agonism of the mu-type opioid receptor, while disulfiram inhibits aldehyde dehydrogenase and is intended to discourage concurrent alcohol consumption by producing an aversive response to alcohol exposure. SafeRx lists MorphARO for development in moderate-to-severe pain and opioid use disorder.
