Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MOSAIC VLP Pan Coronavirus is a preclinical-stage vaccine candidate developed by SpyBiotech designed to provide broad protection against multiple coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and its variants. The vaccine utilizes a mosaic virus-like particle (VLP) platform, where multiple different coronavirus antigens—typically receptor-binding domains (RBDs) from various strains—are simultaneously displayed on the surface of a single VLP. This is achieved using SpyBiotech's proprietary SpyTag/SpyCatcher protein superglue technology, which allows for the stable and high-density attachment of antigens to the VLP scaffold. The goal of this mosaic display is to elicit a diverse and broadly neutralizing antibody response that can recognize conserved epitopes across the coronavirus family, potentially offering protection against future emerging zoonotic threats.
