Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UI05MSP015CT is a sustained-release formulation of mosapride citrate developed by Korea United Pharm. Inc. for the treatment of functional dyspepsia. Mosapride is a selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility by stimulating the release of acetylcholine from enteric cholinergic neurons. Unlike the conventional immediate-release formulation which requires thrice-daily dosing, UI05MSP015CT is designed for once-daily administration, improving patient compliance. It has undergone Phase 3 clinical trials in South Korea comparing its efficacy and safety to the standard thrice-daily mosapride regimen and is currently approved for use in South Korea.
