Moshen Digui

Moshen Digui (MSDG) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formula that has been widely used in China for the treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN), a common cause of nephrotic syndrome in nondiabetic adults. The formula is considered an empirical TCM prescription and is typically administered as part of integrative therapy for IMN. Clinical practice and retrospective data suggest that MSDG can significantly reduce proteinuria and delay disease progression in IMN patients. While its efficacy and safety have been observed clinically, high-quality randomized controlled trials are still lacking. In recent studies, ultrasonic infiltration—a novel drug delivery method—has been explored to improve patient compliance compared to traditional oral administration due to the poor taste of some TCMs[1][2][3].
