Mosnodenvir (JNJ-64281802, also known as JNJ-1802) is a first-in-class small molecule antiviral developed for the prevention and treatment of dengue infection. It acts as a direct inhibitor of dengue virus replication by blocking the interaction between two essential viral proteins, NS3 and NS4B, thereby preventing viral RNA replication. Mosnodenvir demonstrates potent pan-serotype activity against all four dengue serotypes in preclinical models and has shown efficacy in both mouse and non-human primate studies. Clinical trials have demonstrated that it is generally safe and well-tolerated in healthy adults. The drug is being developed by Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) for both prophylactic and therapeutic use against dengue[1][3][4][5][6].
