Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MOT MBX SD-202 (also known as MBX-SD-202) is an orally administered, lyophilized donor-derived whole microbiome therapeutic developed by MyBiotics Pharma. It is manufactured using the company's proprietary SuperDonor whole-microbiome culturing technology, which enables the standardized and scalable reproduction of complex live microbial populations from donor fecal samples. This technology serves as a safer, more consistent, and scalable alternative to traditional fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). MOT MBX SD-202 is designed to restore microbial equilibrium and treat recurrent and severe cases of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) in patients who have already undergone antibiotic treatment. A Phase 1 clinical trial in healthy volunteers demonstrated that the capsule formulation is safe and well-tolerated across multiple doses.
