Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Motilitone** is an oral Korean prescription botanical prokinetic developed by Dong-A ST for **functional dyspepsia**. It is a standardized 50% ethanol extract of *Corydalis* tuber and *Pharbitis* seed in a 5:1 ratio. Its gastrointestinal effects are attributed principally to dopamine D2 receptor antagonism and serotonin 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, and 5-HT4 receptor agonism, with reported adrenergic alpha-2 receptor agonism. These combined actions support gastric accommodation, gastric emptying, gastrointestinal transit, and reduction of visceral hypersensitivity. Dong-A ST markets Motilitone tablets containing 30 mg of the combined botanical extract for functional dyspepsia in South Korea. ([donga-st.com](https://www.donga-st.com/en/medicine.php?page=2))
