Overview

mOX40L is an oral small-molecule drug candidate being developed by PsiThera for the treatment of inflammatory and immunological disorders, specifically atopic dermatitis and asthma. Designed using an "Antibody-in-a-Pill" approach, the therapeutic aims to mimic the potent blockade of the OX40/OX40L costimulatory pathway typically achieved by monoclonal antibodies. By targeting the membrane-bound OX40 ligand (mOX40L), the drug inhibits the interaction with the OX40 receptor on T cells, thereby suppressing T cell activation and the subsequent pro-inflammatory cytokine cascade associated with Th2-mediated allergic diseases. The program is currently in the discovery stage, utilizing a platform that combines physics-based modeling, AI, and structural biology to target cytokine systems traditionally dominated by biologics.
