Moxigrev

Moxigrev is a brand of moxifloxacin ophthalmic solution (0.5%) manufactured by Grevis Pharma. It is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic used topically to treat bacterial ocular infections, including bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal infections. The mechanism of action involves the inhibition of two essential bacterial enzymes: DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are critical for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By targeting these enzymes, Moxigrev effectively prevents bacterial growth and leads to cell death. It is formulated as a sterile topical solution for ophthalmic administration.
