Overview

MP-0250 is a first-in-class tri-specific designed ankyrin repeat protein (DARPin) drug candidate that simultaneously neutralizes vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), while also binding to human serum albumin (HSA) to extend its plasma half-life. By inhibiting both VEGF and HGF pathways, it aims to disrupt the tumor microenvironment and overcome resistance mechanisms in cancer therapy. The dual inhibition targets angiogenesis and tumor growth pathways implicated in multiple myeloma, advanced solid tumors, and EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer. Clinical studies have shown manageable safety profiles with dose-dependent hypertension and proteinuria as notable adverse effects. It is being developed primarily for oncology indications including relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma and advanced solid tumors.
