Overview

MP101 is an investigational, intravenously administered bacteriophage cocktail developed by **MicrobiotiX** for acute *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* pneumonia. It contains two lytic phages, MXP1001 and MXP1002, selected to infect and lyse *P. aeruginosa*; the two-phage composition is intended to broaden coverage across clinically relevant bacterial strains. The phages were reported to lack lysogenic, antibiotic-resistance, and toxin-related genes. MP101 is being evaluated with standard antibiotic therapy in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1 study in adults with acute *P. aeruginosa* pneumonia.
