Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MP2021 is a preclinical drug candidate developed by MedPacto, Inc., targeting Transmembrane 4 L six family member 19 (TM4SF19). It is designed as a recombinant fusion protein, specifically utilizing LEL-Fc fusion protein technology, which acts as a competitive inhibitor of TM4SF19. By inhibiting this target, MP2021 suppresses osteoclast activation and inflammatory signaling, thereby preventing bone destruction and loss. The drug is being developed for the treatment of various bone-related and autoimmune conditions, including osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and bone metastatic disease. MedPacto has completed animal testing and is currently conducting toxicity testing in Europe, supported by research funding from South Korea's national new drug development project.
