Overview

mPCX12 is an encapsulated formulation of mouse interleukin-12 (IL-12) designed for sustained, localized delivery within the tumor microenvironment. Developed by Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, it utilizes a controlled-release platform to facilitate immune activation while minimizing systemic toxicity. In preclinical models of glioblastoma, intratumoral administration of mPCX12 has been shown to increase local levels of IL-12 and interferon-gamma (IFNγ), leading to enhanced cytotoxic T-cell infiltration and prolonged survival. The human version of this candidate is referred to as hPCX12.
