Overview

MPL-005 is an investigational **oral cannabis herbal-extract oil** containing cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol at a 5:1 CBD:THC ratio. Each mL contains 25 mg cannabidiol and 5 mg delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. It is produced by MediPharm Labs and is being evaluated for chronic pain and for symptom-management tolerability in children with cancer. The THC component is a partial agonist of cannabinoid receptors 1 and 2, while cannabidiol has broad, incompletely defined cannabinoid-related pharmacology.
