Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MPL-TLB100 is a topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug candidate developed by Molecular Pharmacology (USA) Limited for the treatment of lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as tennis elbow. The drug is the lead candidate based on the proprietary compound tripeptofen (MPL-TL), a tripeptide designed to alleviate the inflammation and tenderness of muscles and tendons on the outside of the elbow. In December 2005, the Medical Ethics Committee of the Curtin University of Technology in Australia approved a human clinical trial for the candidate, marking its entry into clinical development.
