Overview

mPO-6 is a novel therapeutic agent comprising a CD123 antagonistic peptide (PO-6) encapsulated within nanomicelles. It is being developed for the targeted treatment of refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The drug works by binding to CD123-positive AML cells and interfering with the CD123/IL-3 signaling axis, which subsequently leads to the downregulation of STAT5 and PI3K/AKT phosphorylation and the inhibition of activated NF-κB. This antagonistic action results in a significant reduction of AML cell infiltration.
