Overview

MQX-503 is a novel topical formulation of nitroglycerin (0.9%) designed to absorb quickly and allow local vasodilation in the skin. It was developed specifically for the treatment of Raynaud's phenomenon, a condition characterized by vasospasm episodes in extremities. The gel is applied locally to affected areas immediately before or within 5 minutes of the beginning of a Raynaud's episode, with a maximum of 4 applications daily. Clinical trials have shown that MQX-503 significantly improves the severity of Raynaud's phenomenon compared to placebo, as measured by the Raynaud's Condition Score (RCS), while maintaining a side effect profile similar to placebo.
