Overview

MR-61 is an investigational probiotic preparation primarily composed of *Bifidobacterium*, developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for its potential to slow the progression of myopia in children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 years. Administered orally as a powder sachet, MR-61 is hypothesized to influence axial elongation and eye growth through the gut-eye axis, potentially by modulating the gut microbiota and associated metabolic or inflammatory pathways.
