MRANK-106 is a first-in-class, orally available small molecule dual inhibitor of WEE1 and YES1 kinases. Developed by MindRank using its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) drug discovery platform, the drug is designed to treat various advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including pancreatic, small cell lung, ovarian, breast, and colorectal cancers. By targeting both WEE1 (a regulator of the G2/M cell cycle checkpoint) and YES1 (a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases), MRANK-106 aims to provide synergistic anti-tumor effects and superior efficacy compared to single-target WEE1 inhibitors. A key differentiator of MRANK-106 is its preferential distribution in tissues and tumors over plasma (demonstrating 10- to 120-fold selectivity), which potentially reduces on-target hematotoxicity commonly associated with systemic WEE1 inhibition.
