Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MRG-001 is MedRegen's investigational fixed-dose subcutaneous combination of **plerixafor** and low-dose **tacrolimus**, developed for immunoregulation and tissue repair/regeneration. Plerixafor antagonizes CXCR4 and disrupts stromal cell-derived factor 1 signaling, mobilizing hematopoietic stem and immunoregulatory cells into peripheral blood; tacrolimus binds FK506-binding protein 1A and inhibits calcineurin-dependent T-cell activation. MedRegen is evaluating the combination in phase 2 studies including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, severe alcoholic hepatitis, wound healing, and COVID-19.
