Overview
MRG007 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed for the treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. It consists of a targeting antibody linked to a cytotoxic drug payload, designed to selectively deliver the toxic agent to cancer cells expressing specific antigens. The precise molecular target has not been officially disclosed by the developers; however, some sources suggest it may act as a cadherin-17 (CDH17) antagonist. Preclinical studies have demonstrated robust antitumor activity and a favorable therapeutic index in models of GI cancers. The drug was originally developed by Lepu Biopharma and is being advanced globally outside Greater China through an exclusive license with ArriVent BioPharma. The initial clinical development focus includes colorectal, pancreatic, and other GI malignancies[1][2][3][4][5][7].
