MRG1061 is a lead cell-free biologic candidate developed by Micregen using its proprietary Secretomix® platform technology. It consists of a multipotent, immortalized, stem cell-derived secretome that functions as a complex mixture of miRNAs, exosomes, cytokines, anti-inflammatory factors, lipids, and proteins. Designed as an injectable therapeutic, MRG1061 is primarily being developed for rare neonatal conditions, specifically necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Its mechanism of action is multi-modal, involving the modulation of inflammation, reduction of cellular senescence, activation of resident stem cells and tissue-specific progenitor cells, enhancement of angiogenesis, and anti-apoptotic signaling to facilitate tissue regeneration and repair.
