Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**mRNA-1010** is Moderna's lipid nanoparticle-encapsulated messenger RNA seasonal influenza vaccine, marketed in the United States as **MFLUSIVA**. It delivers modified mRNAs encoding influenza hemagglutinin antigens, enabling host cells to transiently produce these antigens and induce protective humoral and cellular immune responses against vaccine-matched influenza A and influenza B viruses. MFLUSIVA is FDA-approved for active immunization to prevent influenza in adults aged 50 years and older; use in adults aged 65 years and older was granted accelerated approval based on immunogenicity, with confirmatory clinical-benefit research ongoing. The currently labeled 2026-2027 formulation is a trivalent injectable mRNA vaccine administered intramuscularly. ([fda.gov](https://www.fda.gov/media/194120/download?attachment=))
