Overview

**mRNA-1012** is Moderna's investigational pentavalent seasonal influenza mRNA vaccine candidate. It contains five mRNAs encoding influenza-virus hemagglutinin antigens: WHO-recommended 2022–2023 Northern Hemisphere A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B/Victoria components, plus A/Newcastle/1/2021 and A/Hong Kong/45/2019 H3N2 components in place of a B/Yamagata component. The vaccine is intended to induce protective humoral immune responses against influenza A and B, with expanded A/H3N2 coverage.
