mRNA-1083.2 is a second-generation combination vaccine candidate developed by Moderna that combines the company's COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1283) with an influenza vaccine (mRNA-1010). It is designed to provide protection against both COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus infections caused by influenza A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and influenza B/Yamagata and B/Victoria strains. The vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection and is currently in late-stage clinical development.
