Overview

**mRNA-1287** is Moderna's investigational quadrivalent mRNA vaccine candidate for prevention of respiratory illness caused by four endemic human coronaviruses: HCoV-229E, HCoV-HKU1, HCoV-NL63, and HCoV-OC43. It encodes spike antigens from these seasonal coronaviruses to induce protective antiviral immune responses. The program does not target SARS-CoV-2 and was announced as an early development-stage vaccine program.
