Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mRNA-2151 is an investigational, multiplexed mRNA-based T-cell engager (TCE) therapeutic developed by Moderna for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically ovarian cancer. Delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), mRNA-2151 encodes two distinct T-cell engagers targeting two undisclosed, clinically validated tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) (providing Signal 1) along with a co-stimulatory molecule (providing Signal 2). This multiplexed approach is designed to enhance anti-tumor efficacy, improve T-cell fitness, and overcome the highly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment characteristic of ovarian cancer. The program is in preclinical development, with Phase 1 clinical trials planned to initiate in 2027.
