Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mRNA cytokine lipid nanoparticle (mRNA-cytokine-LNP) is an inhaled mRNA-based therapeutic delivered via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), under development by InhaTarget Therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory and fibrotic lung diseases. The therapeutic utilizes mRNA encapsulated in LNPs to target lung macrophages and fibroblasts, modulating cytokine pathways to resolve pro-inflammatory or pro-fibrotic signaling directly within the pulmonary microenvironment. It is designed for non-invasive, localized delivery to the lungs to maximize therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic side effects.
