Overview
This mRNA-based influenza vaccine is a prophylactic candidate developed by Ningbo Rong'an Biological Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of AIM Vaccine Co., Ltd. Utilizing an mRNA technology platform, the vaccine is designed to induce immune responses against influenza viruses by delivering messenger RNA that encodes viral antigens, typically the hemagglutinin protein. This approach aims to provide broader and more rapid protection compared to traditional egg-based or cell-based manufacturing processes. The vaccine is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, following the successful application for clinical trial approval in China.
