Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mRNA-SFTSV vaccine is a preclinical mRNA-based vaccine candidate being developed by Vernagen for the prevention of Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS), a viral hemorrhagic fever caused by the SFTS virus (SFTSV). The vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to encode specific SFTSV antigens, which, upon administration, are translated by the host's cells to elicit a protective immune response. Development is currently in the preclinical animal efficacy stage, with testing conducted in collaboration with CB University in South Korea.
