Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mRNA vaccine against influenza D virus is an in-silico designed mRNA vaccine candidate developed by Helix Biogen Institute. The vaccine construct is designed using immunoinformatic methods targeting the Hemagglutinin-esterase-fusion glycoprotein (HEF), which is the sole surface glycoprotein of the Influenza D Virus (IDV). The vaccine prototype comprises nine epitopes (including helper T lymphocyte (HTL), cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL), and linear B-cell (LBL) epitopes), an adjuvant (Human Beta Defensin 1), a tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) signal peptide, a major histocompatibility complex class I-targeting domain (MITD), a Kozak sequence, 5' and 3' untranslated regions (UTRs), and a poly-A tail. It is intended as a veterinary vaccine to prevent and control IDV outbreaks in animals (such as cattle and swine) and mitigate potential zoonotic transmission to humans.
