Overview

mRNA-VLP is a vaccine platform developed by Premas Biotech that utilizes virus-like particles (VLPs) to encapsulate circular mRNA. This delivery system is designed to protect the mRNA and facilitate its entry into cells, where it can be translated into antigens to stimulate an immune response. A key advantage of this platform is its stability at room temperature when lyophilized, potentially overcoming the cold-chain requirements of traditional lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based mRNA vaccines. Preclinical data in mice has demonstrated high IgG responses, providing proof-of-concept for its immunogenicity.
