mRNAMC38 is a preclinical mRNA-based cancer vaccine specifically engineered to target the MC38 murine colon adenocarcinoma cell line. The vaccine typically comprises synthetic mRNA sequences encoding tumor-specific neoantigens, such as the p15E envelope protein, which are encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for efficient intracellular delivery. Upon administration, the mRNA is translated by host cells, leading to the presentation of these antigens on MHC class I molecules and the subsequent activation of antigen-specific CD8+ T cells.
