MRX-23 is a next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by MicuRx Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting tumor antigens, conjugated via an optimized linker system to a camptothecin-based cytotoxic payload. This payload functions as a DNA topoisomerase I (TOP1) inhibitor, which induces DNA damage and subsequent apoptosis in cancer cells upon selective delivery. MRX-23 features a new generation of camptothecin toxin designed to enhance efficacy and safety. Currently in the preclinical stage of development, MRX-23 represents MicuRx's strategic expansion from its core antimicrobial focus into the oncology therapeutic area.
