Overview

MRx102 is a synthetic derivative of triptolide, a natural compound known for its anti-cancer properties. Developed to improve upon the toxicity and pharmacokinetic limitations of triptolide, MRx102 exhibits potent antitumor activity in preclinical models. Its mechanism involves inhibition of the Wnt signaling pathway, leading to decreased proliferation, increased apoptosis, reduction of migration and invasion of cancer cells. In vivo studies have shown that MRx102 significantly reduces tumor formation and metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) models, particularly those with low WIF1 expression. Additionally, it has demonstrated activity against acute myeloid leukemia (AML) stem/progenitor cells in vitro and in murine models[1][3][5].
