Overview

MS2002 is an adult human neural stem cell (ahNSC) therapy developed by Medinno for the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI). The therapy utilizes neural stem cells derived from the adult human brain, which possess self-renewal capacity and multi-lineage differentiation potential. MS2002 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development. The mechanism of action involves the transplantation of these stem cells into damaged spinal cord regions to promote neural repair and functional recovery. This process is intended to facilitate the regeneration of nerve fibers, promote neuronal differentiation, and support the recovery of motor function. Preclinical research suggests that the therapeutic effects may be mediated in part by monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), leading to improvements in neuronal tissue repair and motor outcomes in damaged spinal cord regions.
