Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**MSA-2-Pt** is a preclinical platinum salt complex of the non-nucleotide STING agonist MSA-2, developed as a dual-function antitumor small molecule. Its MSA-2 component directly activates stimulator of interferon genes signaling, while its platinum component induces tumor-cell death and the release of damaged DNA, supporting activation of the cGAS-STING innate immune pathway. In published mouse MC38 colon carcinoma and B16F10 melanoma models, intratumoral MSA-2-Pt showed antitumor activity that was modestly greater than MSA-2 alone. It has not been identified as an approved or clinical-stage human therapeutic product. ([europepmc.org](https://europepmc.org/article/MED/38250379))
