Overview

MSB0254 is a high-affinity humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2). By binding to VEGFR-2, MSB0254 inhibits the VEGFR-2 signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in tumor angiogenesis—the formation of new blood vessels that supply nutrients to tumors. This antiangiogenic mechanism results in antineoplastic (anti-tumor) activity. Preclinical studies have shown that MSB0254 can inhibit invasion, migration, and vascular mimicry formation of glioma cells in vitro and suppress tumor growth and angiogenesis in vivo. Clinical trials have demonstrated manageable safety and preliminary antitumor activity in patients with advanced solid tumors[1][3][5]. The drug was developed using Transcenta’s proprietary antibody discovery platform.
