Overview

MSCTC-0010 is an investigational cell therapy product consisting of ex-vivo cultured and expanded mesenchymal stem cells derived from Wharton’s Jelly of the human umbilical cord. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD), particularly in patients who are high risk or steroid refractory following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The mechanism of action involves cell replacement and immunomodulation, leveraging the anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair properties of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stromal cells. Early-phase clinical studies have demonstrated that MSCTC-0010 infusions are safe and well-tolerated, with promising clinical responses observed in aGVHD patients[2][3][4].
