Overview

MSJ-0011 is an investigational drug developed as an ovulation trigger for women with anovulation or oligo-ovulation, particularly those with hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is designed to be non-inferior to urinary human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in inducing ovulation during assisted reproductive technology cycles. The mechanism of action involves acting as a follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) agonist, mimicking the endogenous luteinizing hormone (LH) surge necessary for final oocyte maturation and ovulation. The drug is administered subcutaneously and has been evaluated in phase III clinical trials comparing its efficacy and safety to standard hCG therapy[1][2][5].
