Overview

MSLN-CD3ζ is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target mesothelin (MSLN), a cell surface glycoprotein frequently overexpressed in solid tumors such as pancreatic and gastric cancers. The construct typically incorporates an anti-MSLN binding domain (such as an scFv or VHH) coupled with the CD3ζ (CD3 zeta) intracellular signaling chain. Upon binding to mesothelin on tumor cells, the CD3ζ domain facilitates T-cell activation and cytotoxic activity. In the context of research by Oricell Therapeutics, this construct has been utilized as a benchmark or control to evaluate the enhanced efficacy and safety of dual-targeting CAR-T therapies like OriC613, which target both MSLN and CLDN18.2.
